Today is big day full of Trekking! Hoping that all you guys have warmed up yourselves in the past week with some exercise, we have tea and some biscuits and start our trek!
05:00am - Start the climb for Mulher Fort.
07:00am - After a pretty easy climb, we reach the beautiful Someshwar Temple now. Its structure will amaze you, as the underground room will be cold and artificial snake inside it will bring a chill down your spine. After a small halt, we start climbing further to reach the summit of the Fort.
09:00am - You will be at the TOP! The view will mesmerize you! We will now have some snacks to our energy back, know about history and geography of the place, and start descend.
10:30am - We take a quick detour to visit the Ganesh Temple. The Ganesh Temple is generally used by trekkers for the night halt, as it has a huge water tank right next to it. We are lucky we are visiting it in the morning. Evening visits to this temple give new trekkers a chill. It looks scary.
12:00pm - We should reach the base by noon.
12:15pm - We start our short travel to the base of Salher Fort.
01:00pm - Lunch break at a hotel.
02:30pm - The mighty Salher Fort will be right in front of your eyes. You have to conquer it! We start trekking now.
06:00pm - As you trek, plateau after plateau, you will see the Sun peak at you from between Salher and Salota. As the sun sets, we reach the 1st Darwaja of Salher after climbing a handful of stairs. A row of almost 15 deserted caves welcome you. We take a short break here, have limbu sharbat to get rid of the cramps, and start walking further.
07:00pm - Finally! We reach our dream house, the caves of the fort which will provide us shelter for the night. We still have to climb further for about 20 minutes for the summit. But in our experience, the best place to see the sunrise from, is the top! So it’s time to relax now…
08:00pm - Hoping that you have regained some of your energy, you will now help the leaders to cook food. Dinner time!
09:00pm - Let there be Bon Fire! As one of the leaders keep the place well lit by continuously managing the bonfire, it’s high time, the philosopher in you gets to display his skills.
Sitting under the stars, surrounded by raw nature, the barren rock of Salher, and a tired soul. This is the perfect combination for some meaningful talks, debates and songs.
11:00pm - Good Night.
Day 2 - Sunday
Early morning visit Salher Summit.
Descend after Breakfast
Lunch at the base of the fort.
Evening Snacks on the way.
Back to Pune by 8:30pm
We hope you’ve got a good sleep.
05:30am - Wake up call. Freshen up, and have tea.
06:00am - THIS IS IT. We start our final climb for the summit!
06:30am - You are at the topmost point of all forts from Maharashtra! Watch the beautiful sunrise sitting outside the temple. You wont feel like leaving this place. But unfortunately, we have to go back. So absorb all the beauty from the top, make memories, and thank the universe for this beautiful life and start descend.
08:00am - Reach back to the caves, have stomach full of breakfast and packup!
09:00am - Start the descend for the base.
01:00pm - Reach the base and start return journey for Pune. We will quickly halt on the way for lunch.
