About This Tour

Bhimashankar is an Semi-Evergreen and Evergreen mixed forest of the Western Ghats. Located about 140Km from Pune towards north, it holds a fantastic biodiversity. It is reserved as Sanctuary for State animal of Maharashtra "SHEKRU" or "Giant Squirrel"
Walk in these forest in the monsoon is full of fun and education. We get to see Shekru as well as wide variety of butterflies, Flowers, Plants, Frogs etc. We get to enjoy the rainforest as well as streams and waterfalls.


Day-wise Schedule

1 Bhimashankar Nature Trail > Report at Fergusson college main gate at 6am
> Departure by 6.30am
> Breakfast stop on the way
> Arrive at Bhimashankar by 10, explore Nagfani area
> Back to bus parking area for lunch
> Post lunch explore sambarshingi area of jungle
> Evening tea at 5.30pm, start return journey by 6pm
> Back to Pune around 9.30pm

> Backpack with water bottle and rain coat
> good trekking shoes (non slippery)
> Spare set of clothes and socks
> Personal Medication
