About This Tour

Cambodia is a beautiful small country in Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Thailand to the west, Laos to the northeast, Vietnam to the east and Gulf of Thailand to the south. Cambodia has world’s largest Hindu temple complex and hence it is very important historically for all Indians.

We would be landing in the capital city Phnom Penh and exploring the Cambodian heritage. We would be enjoying beautiful sunset River cruise in Mekong River. Siem reap is the heritage town where we would be spending our most of the time exploring temples and ruins. We would be accompanied by Dr. G.B.Deglurkar who is a renowned Expert in the field of archeology. Listening to his expert narration about our Heritage is a rare experience.

1 Day 1 04th Dec, 2018: ARRIVAL PHNOM PENH (Lunch/ Dinner included)
Upon arrival Phnom Penh International airport at 8:50 a.m our travel representative will be there to pick the group from airport to Hotel for Check In. Time is free for leisure.

2 Day 2 05th Dec, 2018 : PHNOM PENH CITY TOUR - PRIVATE TOUR (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)

This morning you will explore the stunning Royal Palace complex, home to the Cambodian royal family and a symbol of the nation. Visit the Napoleon III Pavilion made from iron, a gift from the French emperor in the 19th century. We continue to the Silver Pagoda, named after the 5000 silver tiles covering the floor, each weighing 1kg. We leave the Royal Palace and continue to the nearby National Museum, home to the world's finest collection of sculpture from the Angkor period.
Afternoon, we come face to face with the horrific crimes of the Khmer Rouge. Tuol Sleng was a former high school that the Khmer Rouge turned into a center for interrogation, torture and death. We travel to the Russian Market, one of the premier shopping destinations in the Cambodian capital. We then make for Wat Phnom, a symbol of the city. In the late afternoon, we board a local boat for a Sunset Cruise on the river. We set off on the Tonle Sap River, which famously reverses direction each year, acting as the world's largest natural flood barrier for the Mekong River. Then enjoy your dinner at nice local restaurant.

3 Day 3 06th Dec, 2018 : PHNOM PENH- KAMPONG THOM- SIEM REAP - PRIVATE TOUR (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included )
Breakfast at your hotel, We leave Phnom Penh and travel northeast to the bustling provincial city of Kompong Cham. En route, there is the chance to pause at Skuon, affectionately known as 'Spider village', where it is possible to sample the local delicacy of deep fried tarantula. We journey west to the provincial capital of Kompong Thom, where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we explore the impressive pre-Angkorian capital of Isanapura, known today as Sambor Prei Kuk. We explore the main temples here, including Prasat Tao with its elaborately coiffured lions and Prasat Sambor, with its crumbling sanctuaries. Later, we continue northwest on National Highway 6. This was an old Angkor road and we stop in Kompong Kdei to see one of the ancient Angkor bridges that were built to span the rivers. Spean Praptos or the Praptos Bridge has more than 20 arches and is a spectacular sight, reinforcing the impression that the Khmers were like the Romans of Southeast Asia. We continue to Siem Reap and check into our hotel. Then enjoy your dinner at nice local restaurant.

4 Day 4 07th Dec, 2018: ANGKOR WAT – ANGKOR THOM - PRIVATE TOUR (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included )
Breakfast at your hotel This morning at 08 h 00 am start the tour to the World Seventh Wonder -better known as Angkor Wat- that stands as the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Afternoon, you will visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, then go to Angkor Thom (the temple) which was built by Angkor's greatest king, Jayavarman VII. Then we go to Baphoun, which is one of the most spectacular of Angkor’s temples in its heyday; to Terrace of the Elephants that was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall; to Terrace of the Leper King, another of Angkor’s mysteries. In the late afternoon we visit Pre Rub temple for sun set view. Then enjoy your dinner at nice local restaurant.

5 Day 5 08th Dec, 2018: SIEM REAP – OUT OF THE CITY - PRIVATE TOUR (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included )
Breakfast at your hotel, In the morning, we will visit to Great Lake Tonle Sap (Chong Kneas), which is best known for its basin of fresh water fish (10 tons/ 1Square Km in the 60’s). Visitors may also view the fresh water exhibition where we can see various kinds of fish in Tonlesap Lake. We then continue to Les Artisans d’Angkor - Chantiers Ecole where visitors can observe students learning traditional carving and finishing techniques. Afternoon, we travel out of Siem Reap to the rural district of Puok, home to the Artisans d'Angkor silk weaving project. We visit a working silk farm where it is possible to learn about all aspects of the production process. We visit the silk boutique on site, where there is a selection of sumptuous creations on sale. Artisans d'Angkor was established to revitalize the Cambodian handicraft industry, drawing on the rich foundations of the Angkor empire. Then enjoy your dinner at nice local restaurant.
