Meghalay: The land of clouds is a truely a heavenly state. The euphoria of cloudy and misty mornings, heavy rains, big wide streams & rivers and the thick green jungle is uncomparable. The state is distributed among two mountain ranges, Garo hills and Khasi hills. Khasi hills covers the eastern part of the state which contains the state capital Shilong while Garo hills covers western part of the state. Khasi hills being very close to capital has taken most of the toll of development and had lost most of its prestine forest cover. but Garo hills, being more remote with fewer infrastructure still retains its natural charm.

In this tour we would be traveling and trekking in the Garo hills. We would be walking in the land of elephants and hoolock gibbons. It is not unlikely that we are walking on a trail and you suddenly hear hoolock gibbons cooing over your head. It is also possible that your sleep might get disturb because of elephant sounds. This gives all togather completely offbeat experience.

We would not be staying in resorts or hotels, but we would be staying in a Garo village with Garo people. We give you chance to taste local food like bamboo shoots, mushrooms and other mountain vegetables. One could interact with Garo people and understand their lifestyle and cultural customs.Those who are adventure freaks, there is interesting destination for them too. The destination Siju has natural mountain caves. One of them is a largest cave of Asia. We would be doing easy grade caving too.

Day 3: (3 Apr'13) Trail in Baghmara bio Reserve.
Day 4: (4 Apr'13) Trail in Baghmara bio Reserve, proceed to Ranimoksudam and trek to Gongrot community village, O/N at gongrot in tents (luggage will be transferred by porters)
