Introduction       Chandan and Vandan are the two duel offbeat forts situated in Satara district. Almost everyone who travels from Pune to Satara or to Mahabaleshwar observes these forts but most of the time it is ignored and rarely visited.
       These forts are situated in comparatively rain shadow area and hence best season to visit these forts is the monsoon. So those who are interested in visiting and exploring unusual offbeat forts shouldn't miss this chance.

Schedule of Trek
Meeting Time and Place  Fergussion college main gate at 6am
Schedule > Start journey from Pune at 6.30am
> Breakfast at Shirval
> Reach Kikli around 10am and start climbing Chandan
> Reach on the top by 11.30 and site seeing
> Lunch and start for Vandan by 1pm
> Reach Vandan by 1.45pm
> Fort site seeing and start descending by 3pm
> Back to base by 4pm
> Start return journey by 4.30pm
> back to Pune by 8pm

What to Bring 1. Luggage packed in big good trekking sack, all luggage wrapped in plastic bags to avoid getting wet (compulsory)
2. Complete spare set of clothes & socks
3. Water bottle (atleast 1.5 ltr) compulsory
4. Electral/ Glucon-d energizers and personal medication
5. A sweater/warmwear & Raiwear
6. Good trekking shoes (sandles, chappals, floaters not permitted)
7. Camera, Binocular (Optional)

# Since we have our own bus, extra luggage can be kept in bus.
