| Introduction |
Purandar fort is situated on a unique location. The mountain ridge on which it is located is spread from west to east. Though part of Western Ghats, it is not on main ridge. On one side it has high rainfall zone and mountains and on other side plateu with low rainfall zone. Also Purandar is pretty high peak, so we also find topographical changes along the height.
Hence we find a wide diversity of flowers on this fort. In this trek we will look for wild flowers. Here destination is not important, but the journey is !!! |

| Meeting Time and Place |
Swargate PMT stand (opposite of Swargate St stand) main inquiry counter at 6.30am |
| Schedule |
> Departure from Swargate at 7.15 am
>Reach Saswad by 9am and take another Bus to Narayanpur
> Reach Narayanpur by 9.30, have breakfast and start walking towards fort by 10.30am
> Climb Purandar, watch wild flowers on the route
> Reach Kedareshwar temple around 1.30pm and have lunch
> Nature trail on fort
> Start descending by 4pm
> Back to base by 5pm
> Back to Pune by 7.30pm |

| What to Bring |
1. Luggage packed in big good trekking sack, all luggage wrapped in plastic bags to avoid getting wet (compulsory)
2. Complete spare set of clothes & socks
3. Water bottle (atleast 1.5 ltr) compulsory
4. Electral/ Glucon-d energizers and personal medication
5. A sweater/warmwear
6. Good trekking shoes (sandles, chappals, floaters not permitted)
7. A sleeping bag / Thermocol mat and shawl / normal satranji and shawl
8. Plate, spoon, mug (Compulsory)
9. Torch with Extra pair of Batteries
10. Camera, Binocular (Optional) |
