About This Tour

The Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalaya mountains in the north-eastern part of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name "Spiti" means "The Middle Land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India.

It was another princely state which acceded with Indian republic and is one of the cleanest state in India. Having connection with three nations makes Sikkim a unique state in India. On the eastern side it is Nepal. On the northern frontier and partial eastern border we have Tibet and on some eastern part it is connected with Bhutan.

Day-wise Schedule

1 Day 1 Chandigarh to Manali (300 Kms , 8 Hrs)

We meet at a common meeting point in Chandigarh and take hold of our bikes. After a short briefing we start our ride towards Manali. O/n at Manali.

2 Day 2 Manali to Chandratal (113 Kms , 4 Hrs)
Today we proceed towards Chandratal Via Rohtang La. We reach Chandratal by afternoon depending on the traffic conditions on the way to Rohtang Pass. We will visit Chandrataal lake and stay at camps. O/n at Chandratal.

3 Day 3 Chandratal to Kaza (90kms , 2 Hrs)

From today the toughest part of the ride starts. As we along the road with Spiti river on one side and Sky scrapping mountains on the other. We reach Kaza for stay. O/n at Kaza

4 Day 4 Kaza
Today we rest for our futher tough ride. We will be doing local sighseeing in Kaza. Visit Hikkim the highest post office in the world. Also we will be visiting Langza Village which is famous for its fossils of Marine animals. We come back to Kaza for our stay. O/n at Kaza.

5 Day 5 Kaza to Nako (111Kms, 3hrs)

Early morning we proceed ahead towards Nako. On our way to Nako we will visit Chango Gompa to see the prayer wheel which measures about 3.5 metres (11 ft) in diameter and made up of Yak Skin also it is older than 500 Years. Dhankar Palace which was the capital of the Spiti Valley Kingdom in 17th Centuary and also visit Tabo Monastry.After reaching Nako we will visit Nako Lake and Nako Monastry. O/N at Nako.

6 Day 6 Nako to Chitkul (151 Kms, 6Hrs)

Today we ride to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border. The Indian road ends here. During winters, the place mostly remains covered with the snow and the inhabitants move to lower regions of Himachal. Potatoes grown at Chittkul are one of the best in the world and are very costly. On the way to Chitkul we will also visit Kamru Fort. We reach Chitkul by evening. O/n at Chitkul.

7 Day 7 Chitkul to Narkand. (184 Kms, 6.5 Hrs)

Today is long day as we have big amount of distance to be covered. We reach Narkanda in the afternoon. This town is surrounded by the Shivalik range of Himalayas. O/n at Narkand

8 Day-8 Narkand to Chandigarh (174 Kms, 6 Hrs)

Today is the last and also the big day of our ride as we head back to where we started. We go across Shimla and continue our ride towards Chandigarh. We reach Chandigarh by evening and handover our bikes and gather for our last dinner together.
O/n at Chandigarh.

9 Day 9 Chandigarh Fly out.
Everybody go as per their Return journey plans.
